Book-sell blurb: Someday Birds

Your dad is in hospital on the other side of the country. There’s this strange woman in your house who is supposed to be “babysitting” you and your siblings. Your sister convinces you to run away on a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend to find your dad but you end up stranded in Las Vegas with no decent toilets around you and you’re not sure where your next chicken nugget is coming from… Things could not be worse! How will you get out of this?

Charlie loves birds (and chicken nuggets and clean toilets that are at least 2 stars). He and his dad have a list of birds they want to see someday. So, when the road trip from hell turns into an opportunity to find the birds, Charlie feels like everything will be ok, but only if he can survive travelling with his sister, unruly brothers, and someone he can’t quite figure out.

This story is perfect for readers looking for adventure, drama and unravelling a family mystery.

(Middle grade but highly enjoyable storytelling so would be appropriate for secondary school too!)

What is a “book sell blurb”?

Did you miss my earlier post and are unsure what a book-sell blurb is? I’ve got you!

A book sell blurb is an example of how I would sell this book to potential readers. You are most welcome to use my blurb as your own or as inspiration to rewrite one for your readers!

For inspiration on how to sell a book, you can also check out this post and YouTube video where I give you tips and an example!

Happy selling!
