The biggest bully in the school is missing, there’s this weird rash spreading up Tamaya’s arm and there’s this weird mud spreading throughout the town that has the US Government all freaked out…

Tamaya usually walks home with her neighbour, Marshall, but one day, he demands they cut through the woods. Tamaya knows her mum would be furious if she found out, but her mum would also be furious if she walked home alone OR called her to come pick her up, so does Tamaya really have a choice? Well, it turns out, walking through the woods was a big mistake.

Apparently, Marshall was trying to avoid the school bully, Chad, but Chad figured this out and ambushed them. Tamaya and Marshall are separated and Chad ends up catching Tamaya. In her hurry to escape from the bully, Tamaya does the only thing she can. She slings a handful of mud in his face and runs away.

When Tamaya learns that Chad is missing, she can’t help but feel a little responsible, so she is determined to find a way to help.

Suspenseful and action-packed, science-y and full of bravery, this is a perfect Middle-Grade story that will capture the minds of young adults. 10+
