I presented with Dr Kasey Garrison on “Empowering Teen Readers: The Role of the Teacher Librarian in Australia.” This session delved into:

  • Critical factors influencing teens’ engagement in reading for pleasure;
  • Explored diverse reading identities;
  • Shared effective strategies for teacher librarians to cultivate a vibrant reading culture and foster a lifelong love of reading in young Australians.

National Education Summit, Brisbane, 2021

Helen Stower and I presented an updated version of our Using evidence-based practice to inform school library programs presentation at this conference in 2021. We incorporated additional findings from four years of data collection, as well as interesting new findings. We covered:
